UTTARAFISH

• Rainbow trout fish produced in high altitude areas of district Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Bagehwar, Pithoargarh and Dehradun where cooperatives do not have marketing linkages for the bulk produce
• For promotion of local production of fisheries cooperatives and to provide marketing linkages, Government of Uttarakhand have taken this initiative and establish UTTARAFISH.
• Uttarafish aims to promote inland fisheries in the state and enhance the value chain delivery of fresh Himalayan trout and other native fish through its cooperatives as well as the individual fish farmers
• Uttarafish is working for improving value chain delivery of fresh Himalayan trout and other local fishes which is allowing farmers to manage their livelihoods.
