UTTARAFISH

  • Rainbow trout fish produced in high altitude area districts Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Bagehwar, Pithoargarh, and Dehradun where cooperatives do not have marketing linkages for the bulk produce
  • To promote local production of fisheries cooperatives and provide marketing linkages, the Government of Uttarakhand has taken this initiative and established UTTARAFISH.
  • UttaraFish aims to promote inland fisheries in the state and enhance the value chain delivery of fresh Himalayan trout and other native fish through its cooperatives as well as the individual fish farmers
  • UttaraFish is working to improve the value chain delivery of fresh Himalayan trout and other local fishes, allowing farmers to manage their livelihoods.
