e-MCP (Co-operative Market Place)
Despite its invaluable contribution, the farm sector faces distress due to lack of marketing, fragmented supply chains, low productivity, limited implementation of technological breakthroughs. Absence of a robust business environment for bringing the entire value chain associated with agricultural sector together. Even lack of real-time information on the financial requirements and in-time availability of funds exacerbates these issues.
e-MCP is an online solution that provides a seamless experience accessible through the website or mobile application. The primary objective of the project is to establish interested Societies as the center of all agricultural, trade, and digital activities of a locality. The solution intends to bring together the entire value chain related to the agriculture sector, onto a single platform, leading to ease of use, low latency between decision and execution, and transparency in operation, bringing along with it, the added benefits associated with Digital India.
Objectives of e-MCP:
- Digitalization of the cooperative structure: By providing hardware, software and application solutions which would be one point access to all support systems needed by cooperative members
- Market linkage: Linkage of Marketing Societies and MPACS with vendors from across the country
- Higher Rates for commodities: Farmers are provided with alternate buyers at potentially higher rates that what they were receiving traditionally
- Increased Income for farmers: Increased income for farmers participating in the e-MCP system through the Marketing Society/MPACS they are registered with
- Increased income for Marketing Societies and MPACS: Through commission on the sales of produce at higher rates than what farmers receive traditionally
